After graduating from Northwestern, Chicago based designer. Christina Fan decided to throw her law school aspirations to the wind and follow her love for fashion. As an artist, she had a vision: a line with flattering cuts to create subtly sexy silhouettes that compliment the female form’s unique curves. As an academic, she had intention: to develop a sense of versatility to appeal to women across the board. And as a fashion junkie, she just wanted something more – and something different. So she set out to create a line that would add to the growing Chicago fashionscape.
C/FAN Spring 2010 is inspired by the ease and fit of men’s casual wear. The marriage of menswear inspired details, such as pocket squares, and feminine silhouettes creates a line that is extremely versatile, high quality, and still affordable. These styles can be described as “go-to-pieces”, similar to a woman’s favorite t-shirt or pair of jeans. Any piece from the line can easily transition from an edgier look with a shoulder-accentuating blazer, to work with a cardigan and pumps, or relaxed weekend-chic with flats. Melding comfort with precise detail, every C/FAN piece becomes a timeless wardrobe staple.
